Every day we work with phenomenal clients, solving marketing challenges through the use of branded merchandise and recognition programs. We love what we do and what makes it all worth it is when we hear back from clients on how successful an event, meeting, or project was, thanks to our support.
We had one of those “feel good” moments recently when Dahlia Levin, the Director of External Affairs from the National Center for Children and Families, explained to her Account Executive Fran Kensky and assistant Edwin Williams how fantastic the reusable shopping bags were that she ordered.
You might be wondering “What’s so great about shopping bags?” There a few ways you can answer that question. You could say that shopping bags are great because they hold groceries (obviously) or that they leave a lasting impression (the beauty of branded merchandise). For me though, the shopping bags were an exceptional item to order because of what they were used for and the message that NCCF was sending this holiday season. It’s a simple bag with a tremendous amount of meaning attached to it.
These particular totes were used for NCCF’s “Pie & Stuffing” Community Event where the “Thanksgiving Bags”, as they were called, were stuffed and distributed to over 350 families for Thanksgiving. They were filled with all the necessities for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, such as:
1 Can of Yams
2 Cans of Corn
2 Cans of Green Beans
1 Can of Pumpkin
1 Pie Crust
1 Cornbread Mix
1 Gravy Packet Mix
1 Box of Mashed Potatoes
1 Box of Stuffing Mix
1 Box of Macaroni and Cheese
1 Roasting Pan
$25 dollar gift card to buy a Turkey from Safeway or Giant!
Additionally, cards for each family were made by the children to make them a bit more personal.
Not only will these bags be used for Thanksgiving, but Christmas, too! NCCF plans to fill them with toys from Santa for all the kids living in the shelters. NCCF has 24 programs and many holiday wish lists that they need to fulfill, so these bags will make it much easier to organize and tote the gifts around. Every child will receive a bag with their name on it and what they wished for this year.
We can’t wait to see pictures of this event and know that our bags are being put to great use!

Think we might be worthy of a conversation? We'd love to hear what you have in mind.
